Weekend Workshop - £195 per person Includes accommodation, home cooked meals, transport and all art materials.
Friday 18th - Sunday 20th June 2010
Friday 20th - Sunday 22nd August 2010
These weekend workshops will be focused on the natural and built landscapes of Shetland, giving participants the opportunity to sketch and paint a range of subject matter including our rugged coastlines, traditional croft houses and the historic lanes of Lerwick. Drawing locations will be chosen on a weather dependant basis but will always ensure a mix of venue and interest. Programme and tuition will be delivered by experienced arts professionals, with participants encouraged to produce working sketches and at least one finished piece as a memento of their holiday. Media used will include: charcoal, inks, pencil and watercolour - full demonstrations and examples can be given and advice will be on hand for compositional and technical struggles, however, emphasis will always be on freedom of expression.

Food & Hospitality
We really love good food and drink! - We feel that it is not only key to enjoying the true Shetland experience, but also a vital part of the artistic process.
Over the weekend we will be bringing you as many locally produced delights as possible - fresh fish, Shetland lamb, hand picked organic salad leaves and local oatcakes. And, of course, a nice Valhalla beer or Blackwood's Gin! As always, please let us know in advance of any special dietary requirements and we will do our very best to meet them.
