Fiddle Frenzy

Fiddle Frenzy Art Workshops. We are delighted to be working with Shetland Arts again to deliver drawing and painting workshops as part of the 2011 Fiddle Frenzy.
This year we'll be visiting Ollaberry, the Westside, the Cunningsburgh Show, Central Mainland and Lerwick. We will be taking our inspiration from Shetland stories and folklore and subjects will include land, sea and sky scapes, animals, people and objects of interest.
The workshops will cover our usual mixture of media including: big paints, water colour, inks, charcoal, pastels and print making. There really is something for everyone and everyone is welcome. Come for one day or all week!

ASF Textiles Mini Tours

9th - 12th September 2011
This Blue Sky workshop on the use of sketchbooks forms part of the ASF Textiles Mini Tour- a four day comprehensive textiles taster covering the Shetland mainland, Yell and Unst.
Participants make their own sketchbooks from a variety of papers. This is followed by a session on using the books to record ideas and information and how theses can help inform your own 2D pattern and textile designs. As always we aim to inspire and to get you thinking and working in different ways.
