Friday - Arrival
4.00pm - Pick up at Viking Bus Station, Lerwick - transfer to Bridge End by mini bus
6.00pm - Buffet and drinks

7.00pm - Presentation on drawing techniques and objectives for the weekend.

10.30am - We will begin the day with ‘loosen up’ sketching using charcoal, ink and pencil (10min charcoal/pencil, continuous line, LH/RH, twig and ink)

12.00pm - Brief talk on composition. Compositional sketches and colour recording.
1.00pm - Picnic Lunch – reflection
1.30pm - Work up final piece from compositional sketches
5.00pm - Leave site – Field Trip
6.30pm - Arrive back at accommodation.
7.00pm - Evening meal
8.30pm - Slide show and feed back on day’s work + presentation of objectives for day 2

Sunday - Day 2 - Townscapes and Museum

10.45am - Walking tour of Da Toon whilst producing 10-30min charcoal/pencil drawings.
Location 2 - Museum & Hays Dock
1.00pm - Picnic lunch
1.30pm - Spread through museum & boat shed to sketch and paint
1.30pm - Spread through museum & boat shed to sketch and paint
3.15pm - Cakes and coffee in Hays Dock cafe – sum up 4.00pm - Return to Viking Bus Station on foot - luggage delivered separately
